STATIC ELECTRICITY PROBLEM:

Static electricity build up can occur in both natural and synthetic carpets. Static electricity is caused by the rubbing together of dissimilar materials. The continued rubbing, contact and separation causes a high voltage charge to build up in both materials. Carpet fibres and shoe soles are dissimilar materials and by walking across a carpet the human body can build up quite a charge. This charge is released or grounded upon contact with a source of a ground. A doorknob, handrail or another person act as an excellent ground. Just prior to contact the built-up static charge jumps across a tiny air gap resulting in a SHOCK! As the relative humidity goes down the potential for static build up is increased.

SOLUTION:

Static builds up can be controlled by increasing humidity or moisture in the environment by the use of humidifiers. Topical antistatic treatments can be very effective in reducing static build up. However, they last only a short time (3-6 months) as they can be worn off. Sticky residues can also be a problem with some of the topical treatments available.

Cleancare's "Staticare" eliminates static electricity caused by electrical charge build up in carpet. One application of Staticare is effective on all carpet fibres. A combination of colloidal metal particles and conductive ingredients combine to disperse electrical charge build up in carpet. One application of "Staticare' lasts up to 6 months. "Staticare" residue dries completely in extremely fine particles and will not leave a sticky residue to attract further soiling.

"Staticare" is extremely effective in businesses or environments with potentially high levels of electrical charge build-up due to the large number of electrical devices used.

Low use cost: 5 litre of concentrate covers 50sq. m Dilute 2:1 with water.

STATICARE DIRECTIONS:

• Cleancare’s Staticareeliminates static electricity caused by electrical charge buildup in carpet.
• One application of STATICARE SPRAY is effective on all carpet fibres. Normally lasts up to six months.
• A combination of colloidal metal particles and conductive ingredients combine to disperse electrical charge build-up.
• The residue is so fine a particle size and of such a chemical make-up that this product actually RETARDS resoiling.

• All carpet fibres including cotton and wool.
• Safe on all fibres not affected by water.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Each concentrated 5 litres covers approximately 50 to 100 sq.metres of carpet (depending on density).
2. Apply with any clean sprayer.
3. Dilute Staticare with two parts waters. The 15 litres of diluted Staticare is sprayed over 50 to 100 square metres (500 to 1000sq. ft.).
4. For best results brush Staticare into the carpet with Cleancare carpet rake.
5. Rinse sprayer thoroughly after use.
6. Safe on all fibres not affected by water. If in doubt, test on small area.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
